Marine & Offshore Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (UTM) Specialists
Clever Marine Services Ltd started to provide Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (UTM) testing to vessel owners and managers in 2011 and obtained Class approval for it from; Germanischer Lloyd, Buerau Veritas, Det Norske Veritas, RINA and the American Bureau of Shipping. Since then we have carried out numerous UTM surveys for Class & steel repair purposes.
The experience we have gathered in Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (UTM) testing during the last six years has given us the confidence to extend the UTM testing service to corrosion control and management if required.
The usual UTM team consists of the UT supervisor & at least one UT operator in accordance to IACS class rules & regulation’s. We have the ability to either offer one UTM team consisting of, one UTM supervisor & up to five UT operators or two teams consisting of each one supervising engineer & two to three UT operators. We are also able to offer all UTM services in conjunction with Rope Access personnel certified in accordance to IRATA.
